It started in Kosice (1918-1923) and often had a social and literary context. During his stay in Paris (1924-1934) Foltýn became a member of the Cercle et carré group, primarily aimed at geometric abstraction. Later he joined the international group Abstraction-Création. He found his style in the compositional system, which may be classified as organic abstraction. 7 March - 1 June.

Exhibition: Contemporary Czech Cubism. Recent work from a number of painters and conceptual artists demonstrates an explicit reminiscence in, and subliminal inspiration from, the modernist trends at the start of the 20th century - cubism, futurism and constructivism. This is not some scholastic repetition nor a post-modern play on quotes and appropriation. Is there any room for this today and is it possible to improve upon the legacy of the avant-garde? 4 March - 13 April.
